- Why do homebuyers need a home inspection?
Buying a home is a significant investment and might be the largest one a homebuyer ever makes. It’s recommended that homebuyers gain as much knowledge as possible about the property before purchasing it. A thorough home inspection can reveal any significant repairs needed, potential oversights by the builder, or general maintenance required to keep the property in good condition. By going through the inspection process, homebuyers can better understand the property they are considering and confidently make informed decisions. Additionally, if a homeowner plans to sell their property, a home inspection can identify any repairs needed to improve the home’s selling condition.

Another great review!!
- Can trees damage your foundation?
Tree roots that grow too close to your foundation do not physically grow into your home. These roots can, however, cause unexpected foundation damage. As a tree’s roots grow, they’ll cause the soil around your home to gap and shift. Your foundation can sink into the gaps the soil leaves behind. With that settling comes a higher risk for foundation cracks and other types of damage.
- Why is a mobile home inspection important?
Mobile homes receive the same inspection as a standard home inspection. However, with mobile homes we also examine the undercarriage, vapor barrier and the tie downs. These items are very important to inspect because of the high level of moisture and threat of hurricanes here in Florida.

- GFCI OUTLETS
How important are GFCI outlets in your home? GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) outlets are electrical outlets with extra safety features designed to protect people from electrocution. They’re installed in areas prone to contact with water, such as bathrooms, kitchens, garages, and basements. These specialized outlets can sense when there’s a current imbalance between the hot and neutral wires in an appliance or other device plugged into it. If a fault is detected, the GFCI outlet immediately trips and cuts off power to the device. This prevents electricity from flowing through anything that might be connected to it, such as someone touching it with wet hands.
- How important is a gutter system?
Without a gutter system, your roof can pick up a bunch of leaves and other debris, causing water to stagnate and overflow . This can make your home vulnerable to rotting, rusting, and other damage.
- Dry rot of fascia and framing
Rotten fascia boards have to be replaced. This is your first defense in making sure water doesn't get to your overhangs and walls. It needs to be addressed so the water doesn't get to the main foundation of your home.
- Full Home inspections!
What is in a full home inspection? A full home inspection consists of two parts, a visual inspection of the exterior and a visual inspection of the interior. A fully certified, licensed and insured inspector will meet you at the inspection site and walk the property with you. While inspections can be done without you present, it is a good idea to be there at the end of the inspection so the inspector can show you exactly where problems are, or may occur.
